Description

You will participate in major developments by verifying that the design meets its intended use through Verification, Integration, and Testing activities aligned with Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets; you will perform detailed in-house V&V tasks, coordinate with delegated experts across departments, collaborate closely with Test & Commissioning to ensure seamless alignment between in-house and on-site testing, communicate results with design teams, and agree with the Verification & Validation Manager on strategy, schedule, and budget while regularly sharing progress, outcomes, and issues.

Your tasks:

To help define and implement the Project V&V strategy.
To develop verification methods and test plans for in-house activities.
To coordinate with Test & Commissioning for tests executed on-site.
To perform and report on verification, integration, and test tasks.
To collaborate with the Safety Assurance Manager when safety is involved.
To align V&V methodologies with experts from other departments.
To represent Alstom to customers and partners, reporting progress, risks, and issues.
To specify, procure, develop, set up, and configure test assets and instrumentation.
To provide data to maintain relevant KPIs.
To contribute feedback for lessons learned and continuous improvement.
To manage configuration and change control related to V&V activities.
To follow up with Test & Commissioning on site-executed tests.

Job requirements

Master’s degree in engineering
More than 2 year of experience in systems / sub-systems integration, embedded equipment, electrotechnical product development.
Knowledge of EN 50126/ EN 50128 / EN 50129 standards.
On-board signalling system knowledge is mandatory.
Knowledge of ERTMS/ETCS, ATO is mandatory.
Good analytical skill is required.
Understanding and experience in Software coding.
Knowledge of at least one Customer signalling system platform.
You are self-entrepreneurial.
You are problem solving oriented.
You able to report with clarity, rigor and concision.
You are fluent in German and English.
