Your Tasks
Develop and maintain vehicle and subsystem models in MATLAB/Simulink (linear & nonlinear) with strong parameterization and reuse
Integrate key subsystems (e.g., chassis, braking, steering, powertrain, supervisory control) and run system-level simulations
Support calibration/tuning to meet targets in stability/handling, ride comfort, and robustness from unladen to fully laden
Define and execute simulation campaigns for standard maneuvers/events and evaluate KPIs
Perform analysis and sensitivity studies; propose design/control improvements
Correlate simulation results with test data; support validation planning, data processing, and reporting
Collaborate with chassis, controls, test/validation, and systems engineering teams
(Optional) Support co-simulation / SiL / HiL activities

Your Profile
BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related field
MATLAB/Simulink: hands-on experience in modeling, simulation, and control development
Model-based development: structured modeling, parameter management, test cases, documentation
Vehicle dynamics fundamentals: tire-road interaction, slip behavior, load transfer, stability/handling basics
Vehicle modeling: subsystem and/or full-vehicle models; ability to select appropriate model fidelity (linear vs. nonlinear)
Ride & handling: comfort vs. performance trade-offs; damping/stiffness effects; frequency-domain understanding is a plus
Validation mindset: simulation-to-measurement correlation; data analysis and reporting
Experience with commercial vehicles (truck/bus/trailer) and load-case robustness
Tire modeling exposure
Co-simulation / SiL/HiL toolchain experience (e.g., dSPACE, vehicle dynamics platforms)
Scripting/data automation (MATLAB toolboxes, Python)
English: mandatory
German and/or Italian: a plus
