Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for an Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery to be based at our customer’s site in Wackersdorf.

The Role

As an Onsite Product Electrical Engineer, you will act as the key interface between our customer and Tata Technologies’ engineering teams. You will coordinate engineering projects, ensuring delivery against cost, quality, and timeline expectations while supporting the full product development lifecycle.

This is a highly collaborative and technical role where you will work closely with customer engineering teams, internal delivery centres, and project stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective engineering solutions.

Area of Responsibility

Analyse and interpret technical engineering data and drawings to identify and resolve design issues
Support end-to-end product development including prototype and production stages
Design and develop electro-mechanical systems using CAD tools
Deliver 3D electrical harness routing and 2D wiring designs for heavy machinery applications
Coordinate and manage project activities with customers and internal teams
Maintain accurate and organised project documentation in line with company processes
Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams
Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations around cost, quality, and targets
Collaborate with offshore engineering teams to deliver projects efficiently

Knowledge / Experience
Strong experience in electrical engineering within heavy machinery or similar industries

Proven expertise in:

CREO (PTC) for 3D design
Electrical harness routing and wiring design
Electrical schematics and electro-mechanical systems
Teamcenter (Siemens) or similar PLM systems
Working knowledge of:
FEA (linear/non-linear) and CFD basics
GD&T, manufacturing processes (stamping/fabrication)
APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R and risk management principles
Supplier collaboration and PPAP processes
Ability to analyse complex engineering data and make sound technical decisions

Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication skills in an international engineering environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Collaborative mindset with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
High attention to detail and quality
Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience
