Senior Expert Transport Network Engineer
(m/f/d)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– You design, operate, and troubleshoot multi-vendor IP / MPLS transport networks for mobile fronthaul, midhaul, and backhaul.
– You configure and optimize IP / MPLS protocols, including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP (iBGP / eBGP, route reflectors), LDP, and RSVP-TE.
– You deploy and operate Segment Routing, including SR-MPLS today and increasingly SRv6, for traffic engineering and network slicing.
– You implement 5G transport architecture, covering fronthaul (eCPRI), midhaul (F1), and backhaul, including CU / DU split scenarios.
– You operate timing and synchronization solutions, including GNSS-based references.
– You implement transport network slicing using FlexE, VPN+, and slice ID propagation.

WHO YOU ARE

Benefits

– You have completed a degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
– You bring 8 to 12 years of professional experience in IP / MPLS transport network engineering, ideally within service provider environments.
– You possess strong working knowledge of OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, and RSVP-TE in operator-grade networks.
– You have hands-on experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS and / or SRv6).
– You demonstrate a solid understanding of 5G transport architecture, including fronthaul, midhaul, and backhaul requirements.
– You have practical experience with PTP, SyncE, and ITU-T G.8275 timing profiles.
– You have experience with multi-vendor routing platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei).
