Job Description & Skill Requirement
“Key Responsibilities

Design, development, and optimization of transformer components and systems.

Design of transformer mechanical structures, enclosures, bushings, radiators, tap changers, and other mechanical parts to ensure robustness, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Design Process Management:

Establish and implement design processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and adherence to engineering standards.

Prepare design concepts, calculations, and technical drawings to ensure they meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Use advanced design tools (e.g., CREO, Windchill, or other CAD software) for drafting and modeling transformer components.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure that materials, components, and vendors meet design specifications.

Evaluate existing mechanical designs for improvements in efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Documentation and Reporting:

Ensure proper documentation of design processes, calculations, and design reviews.

Prepare and maintain design specifications, technical reports, and manuals.

Ensure all mechanical designs comply with international industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, IEEE) and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design, , preferably within the transformer or electrical equipment industry.

Skills:

Expertise in mechanical design software such as CREO, Windchill, or similar CAD tools.
