Structural engineer (m/f/d) structural and civil engineering

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer (m/f/d) to contribute to demanding projects in building and civil engineering. You will develop structural concepts, prepare verifiable structural calculations and work closely with architects and other project stakeholders from conceptual design through execution. Experience in bridge engineering is an advantage.

JBO Engineering Group GmbH has been an owner-managed company for over 60 years now, specializing in the fields of structural design, project planning and structural testing for sophisticated buildings and civil engineering structures. Our employees have also been active in the offshore wind sector for over 17 years, focusing on structural design, loads, research and testing.

Your exciting, varied tasks

Preparation of verifiable structural calculations for demanding building and civil engineering projects and onshore structures, primarily for new office and residential buildings in reinforced concrete and steel construction
Involvement in civil engineering projects, ideally with a focus on bridge engineering
Support for our test engineers in structural testing in building construction and civil engineering
Performing structural inspections and site visits during construction
Coordination with test and specialist engineers and contractors
Supporting our design department in the development of formwork and reinforcement plans

The scope and focus of responsibilities can be adjusted according to your experience, expertise and professional interests.

What you should bring with you

Successfully completed degree in civil engineering (Dipl.-Ing., M.Sc. or M.Eng.) from a university or university of applied sciences, preferably with a focus on structural or civil engineering
Several years of professional experience in structural engineering, ideally in building and/or civil engineering; experience in bridge engineering is a plus
Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
Solid experience in finite element analysis using industry-standard software such as Sofistik, InfoCad, Dlubal, Frilo or mb AEC
Independent, structured and responsible working style
Confident and professional manner with strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluent written and spoken German
