Role Description The Senior Piping Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for leading piping design, performing detailed engineering calculations, and overseeing stress analysis to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant piping systems for projects in sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing piping layouts and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting project managers with technical input and documentation. The Senior Piping Engineer will also participate in design reviews, assist in resolving site issues, collaborate with commissioning teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of standards and methodologies.

Ihre Aufgaben

Rohrleitungsplanung: Sie planen und detaillieren selbstständig 3D-Rohrleitungssysteme und Aufstellungspläne für verfahrenstechnische Anlagen.
Spannungs- und Flexibilitätsanalyse: Sie führen eigenständig Standard-Rohrstressanalysen durch und legen Rohrhalterungen sowie Unterstützungskonzepte fest.
Spezifikation: Sie erstellen technische Spezifikationen für Rohrleitungskomponenten, Armaturen und Sonderbauteile.
Schnittstellenmanagement: Sie koordinieren technische Details mit den Fachbereichen Verfahrenstechnik, Bautechnik und Apparatebau.
Qualitätssicherung: Sie prüfen Rohrleitungsisometrien und Zeichnungen auf Einhaltung der geltenden Normen (z. B. EN 13480, ASME B31.3).
Projektunterstützung: Sie unterstützen die Projektleitung bei der Erstellung von Materialauszügen (MTO) und bei technischen Rückfragen von Baustellen.

Ihr Profil

Ausbildung: Abgeschlossenes Studium (Bachelor/Master) im Bereich Maschinenbau, Verfahrenstechnik, Anlagentechnik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.
Berufserfahrung: Mindestens 3–5 Jahre fundierte Erfahrung in der Rohrleitungsplanung im industriellen Anlagenbau.
Software-Tools: Fundierte Praxiskenntnisse in 3D-CAD-Systemen (z. B. Aveva E3D, Smart 3D) und Berechnungssoftware (z. B. ROHR2, CAESAR II).
Regelwerke: Gute Kenntnisse der gängigen nationalen und internationalen Codes und Richtlinien.
Sprachen: Fließende Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Key Responsibilities

Piping Design: Plan and detail 3D piping systems and equipment layouts for process plants independently.
Stress & Flexibility Analysis: Perform standard pipe stress analyses and define pipe support concepts and configurations.
Specification: Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for piping components, valves, and special items.
Interface Management: Coordinate technical interfaces and designs with process, civil/structural, and mechanical equipment teams.
Quality Control: Review and check piping isometrics and drawings for compliance with project standards and codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, EN 13480).
Project Support: Assist project management with Material Take-Offs (MTO) and respond to technical queries from the construction site.

Your Profile
Education: University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plant Design, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in piping engineering within the industrial plant construction sector.
Software Tools: Solid proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., Aveva E3D, Smart 3D) and stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, ROHR2).
Codes & Standards: Good working knowledge of international piping codes, standards, and regulations.
Languages: Fluent in German and professional working proficiency in English.
