Vacancy:

Head of Mechatronics & New Space Engineering (m/f/d)

JOB PROFILE:

– Lead challenging, demanding space projects, ensuring compliance with technical, schedule and cost objectives.
– Prepare proposals for ESA, EU and commercial opportunities.
– Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and a multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project and/or product lifecycle.
– Define, track and verify system and subsystem requirements in accordance with ECSS and customer standards.
– Lead the development, and qualification of e.g. deployable RF payloads, and electromechanical systems from concept to qualified technology
– Contribute to technology roadmaps, product development and business growth activities.
– Drive project execution through tracking of actions, deliverables and milestones, while acting as a company representative at customer meetings, and industry events, delivering presentations and publications.
– Contribute, organize and manage the planned growth of a department of young, innovative and excellent group of space enthusiasts.

QUALIFICATION:

– Innovative, out of the box thinking, multi – disciplinary space engineer with 5 to 10 years of professional experience.
– Strong technical background in mechanical, mechatronic, electromechanical, RF-systems.
– Profound leadership skills.
– Knowledge in ECSS, NPR and NASA-STD.
– Good understanding of FEM analyses and design for structural, thermal and dynamic environments.
– Experience in requirements definition, AIT activities, verification and validation activities.
– Proven track record in proposal preparation and acquisition of ESA- and EU-projects.
– Good Project Management experience
– Previous experience leading multidisciplinary space projects (Phase 0 to Phase D).
– English (C1 level).
– German language is an asset.
