Company Description
AirDC is an EASA approved Design Organisation (DOA) and Flight Test Organisation. As an independent DOA, we work with a wide spectrum of General Aviation customers in Europe and beyond. Our projects range from (Supplemental) Type Certification of new products to Continued Airworthiness of in-service aircraft fleets. As an Engineering Office and Flight Test Organisation, we cover the scope of design packages, certification requirements and practical compliance demonstration through to the final certificate, all under one roof.

Role Description
Structural and system analysis and/or design including installation of electric, (electric) powerplant, or avionics systems
Authoring of EASA compliant certification related publication and documentation along the certification process: AFM, AMM, Specifications, Equipment Qualifications
End-to-end test campaign planning, execution and documentation, including specification, test rig setup, instrumentation and measurement, postprocessing and test reporting
Project coordination with responsibility for planning and execution, technical progress, deliverables and documentation, and customer communication
Perform in a small team, adapting to the needs of the customers and projects, continuously improving and strengthening the team

Develop into the role of a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) or extend your scope to new disciplines

Your Qualifications
Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent graduation with aviation background with at least 2 years of professional experience in aviation
Profound skills in several of the following tools: Solidworks, Siemens FEMAP, Python or equivalent, OpenFoam, including the ability to perform (sanity check) analysis using profound analytical textbook knowledge
Substantial experience in aviation certification processes and requirements (EASA Part 21, Airworthiness Codes CS-23, CS-VLA, CS-E, CS-P as well as Special Conditions, MoC and Guidance Material)
Familiar with central certification documents (Type Specification (TS), Certification Program, Compliance Checklist (CCL), Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Equipment Qualification (EQL))
Practical experience in Flight Testing or Ground Testing is a plus
Pilot license, aircraft mechanic experience or hands-on aviation knowledge are a plus
Independent and reliable working attitude, communication skills, customer focus, ability for self-reflection, and team spirit are natural for you
Fluent in English (primary working language), fluent German is desired – minimum Level B2
Ready to join our Nuremberg team for your every-day work, incl relocation if required
Open for occasional business travel and on-site work at customer premises
Driver license
