Planning & progress: align engineering tasks with the project schedule`, prepare take-offs and the Engineering Materials Report (EMR)`, track procurement/submittals and field-need dates to avoid delays.
Site supervision: oversee installation quality for MV/LV switchgear, busbar trunking, UPS/STS systems, PDUs, earthing/bonding and cable management; verify materials/workmanship and code/spec compliance.
Electrical systems scope (mission-critical): MV/LV distribution, generators, UPS/STS, EPMS/BMS interfaces, busbar systems, PDUs, critical feeders, and protection/coordination documentation.
Testing & commissioning support: organise pressure tests, flushing/cleanliness, water treatment handover, valve proving, functional performance tests`, assist with SAT/FAT readiness`, manage punch/snags to closure.
Documentation: compile and maintain technical submittals/approvals, redlines/as-builts, O&M inputs`, maintain a weekly photographic diary and update engineering task logs.
Subcontractor & interfaces: coordinate with CSA/Mechanical/ICT`, chair or attend weekly technical meetings`, track progress against plan and manpower`, distribute snags via the project snagging system.
Reporting: issue weekly engineering progress and risk updates (WBS % complete, late deliveries/design shortages, third-party holds)`, escalate unresolved constraints to the Electrical PM.
Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Electrical Manager, Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements. Responsible for making sure the subcontractor submits their program and meets/exceeds baseline program or escalation on time.
Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
Close out of all project items including Final Account, O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the support of the site project manager and your project team.
